Financial Expert, Entrepreneur and Speaker

 
Gil Michel is a small business accountant and financial expert in the area of personal finance and financial management. Mr. Michel is the founder and president of the Caleb Group, Inc., the parent company of BlackMoneyMatters.com. BMM was launched in September 2005 and is one of the fastest growing Black websites on the internet. Mr. Michel has a wide range of experience from his tax work at Crowe Chizek & Co., the nation's 9th largest accounting firm in the United States, to his extensive work as manager of business operation at the University of Notre Dame's prestigious Kellogg Institute for International Studies, to helping working families maximize and make the most of their incomes. From multi-national corporations to non-profit organizations, Gil has been depended upon to help manage others' finances.

Gil is currently featured on Sheridan Broadcasting Corporation's syndicated radio network, SGN The Light, called Faithful Finances, which serves a market of over 4 million people. (SGN The Light consists of 48 radio stations nationwide, including New York City.) Mr. Michel also produces a financial vignette called Black Money Minute™ which is carried on one of the longest running syndicated programs, Inspirations Across America, on over 100 radio stations across the country. He is frequently requested as a speaker on financial subjects, and especially to motivate youth toward financial literacy.

Mr. Michel started the non-profit organization, TACTT, Inc. (Teens Achieving Community Through Training) to address the widening literacy gap and to motivate youth toward intentionally affecting their financial destinies. He also serves on a number of boards of organizations that he is passionate about such as Entermission, Inc., Haiti Arise, and Wellsprings World Outreach.

Gil Michel holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University in New York, and an MBA in Human Resources and Management from Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, IN. Although a New York native, he currently lives in South Bend, IN with his wife and daughter.
